A catering evolution

30 April 2019/Dining

In the ever-changing world of events, conferences and exhibitions are becoming more and more important and in 2019, a standard sandwich buffet lunch just won’t do. With this in mind, Moving Venue have recently launched their new and exciting conference buffet menus to suit the evolving, food-conscious market.

Each menu has a huge variety of exciting, healthy and interesting dishes filled with ‘brain-food’: think roast hake fillet with tenderstem and peas, and hot chilli beef with papaya, green mango, carrot, pepper and spring onion slaw. These dishes will ensure that guests are ready and eager to start their afternoon plenary, rather than feeling sluggish and tired. Similarly, all menus have a wide variety of vegan dishes which are designed to be vibrant and substantial. The root vegetable and coriander rosti with tamarind sauce, and ratatouille with polenta croutons and toasted pumpkin seeds, stand alongside their meat or fish counterparts as key components of the menu.

Outside of the lunch menu, there are plenty of ways to enhance your conference at Landing Forty Two. Musetti coffee is served at all conferences, with an optional barista station, and is the perfect way to kick start the day. Alternatively, a self-service Nespresso station fully stocked fridges with waters, juices and smoothies will give a conference a more informal atmosphere than the traditional catered break system.

Finishing a conference with a drinks reception including canapés or interactive food stations is a great way to ensure guests have the chance to network and discuss the day’s topics. Moving Venue’s canapés, bowl food and interactive stations are beautifully designed and, coupled with the backdrop of the sun setting over London and a cold drink, is the perfect way to conclude any conference.
