Property4Media, the property industry’s media network, hosted a Media Marketplace and press awards ceremony at Landing Forty Two in May.
The marketplace gave the UK’s top property journalists an opportunity to meet brands from across the sector, to inspire their features for the year.
In the evening the venue was transformed to host a star-studded industry awards ceremony, The Property Press Awards 2017, also organised by Property4Media.com.
The Media Marketplace enabled property journalists to develop their contacts and generate stories from 15-minute pre-arranged meetings, and brought together a wide range of journalists and brands under one roof.
Brands represented from the residential, commercial, overseas and professional services sectors included JLL, Strutt & Parker, Engel & Volkers, eMoov, PurpleBricks, Anthology London, KFH and PegasusLife.
With the panoramic views of London afforded by Landing Forty Two as the day’s backdrop, the daytime event drew top-name journalists, who were also wowed by the venue’s catering, including a buffet lunch, provided by in-house catering partner Moving Venue.
As evening drew in, the spotlight turned to The Property Press Awards 2017, which recognised the industry’s top talent, with 120 guests in attendance. Presented by A Place in the Sun’s Amanda Lamb, the 20 awards included ‘Property Journalist of the Year 2017,’ which went to Oliver Shah of the Sunday Times, and a lifetime achievement award which was presented to former Estates Gazette editor Peter Bill.
Winners also included Hugo Cox of the Financial Times, Nick Bailey from BBC Gardeners’ World, Melissa York of City A.M. and Matt Allwright from BBC One Housing Enforcers (see here for full list of winners. The judging panel of 45 industry experts included senior property executives, media editors and industry personalities, many of whom were at the event.
Said Property4Media CEO Henry Hemming: “Our guests were dazzled by the location and highly impressed by the service we experienced. We wanted the perfect venue for our first year running the awards and were delighted with the venue’s delivery. Big thanks to all their team.”
Landing Forty Two is a hugely popular venue for awards ceremonies, thanks to its stunning views and contemporary design. With boundless opportunities to add branding and theming to the space, it’s an ideal choice for awards events. A stage was designed by Vibration with a branded wrap and wide screen monitor as the centerpiece, with an autocue for the presenter and repeat screens around the room.
