Rebecca is an Events and Sales Manager here at Landing Forty Two. We caught up with her to find out more about what got her into events, and took a sneaky peek at her Instagram for an insight into her world!

1.What was the best event you have worked at and why?

The best event I had the pleasure of working on was the player of year awards at Chelsea Football Club. The event is a prestigious annual event, it was a wonderful evening as it celebrates the success of the club and it brings fans and players together. It is of course a celeb studded affair and it was nice to see them interacting with the fans with ease. The set up of the event was a complete transformation of the concourse of the stadium it looked like a completely different venue. The event was an amazing success!

2.How did you get into events?

From a young age I started waitressing at events and loved the whole environment, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do within the industry until I worked on the Olympics. Working at the Olympics increased my passion for events and I gave me the dream to one day want to be part of creating such a vast project and seeing it come alive so spectacularly as it did at London 2012. The Olympics brought both my love for sport and passion for events together, it was just such a memorable experience for all involved. Being part of London 2012 was a once in a lifetime experience, the thought of creating those feelings for others is why I decided to pursue a career in events.

3.What is your party trick?

I am a complete Disney nut and can name all Disney characters!

4. What makes you excited about events?

The biggest thrill I getting when working events is building relationship with client and making their vision come to realization. The buzz from working to tight deadlines and working under pressure is another aspect of planning events that I enjoy along with the day to day variety of the job which means that no two days are ever the same.

5. What are your hobbies?

At the weekends I can normally be found watching the football or playing sports before I either spend time with the family or on nights out with the girls.

6. Tell us something no one else knows about you.

I trained to be a PE teacher!
