It’s Our Birthday!

13 September 2016/Brand

This month Landing Forty Two turns one! Over the past year we’ve hosted a huge selection of prestigious events, from sumptuous dinners attended by VIPs to hotly-anticipated launch events. And that’s not all – we’ve also hosted cinema screenings, yoga classes in the sky and a fashion show, just to name but a few. Here are some of our highlights from our first year.

In June, comedian Katherine Ryan hosted Plan International UK’s Gala Dinner at Landing Forty Two for VIP guests in support of girls’ rights. Celebrity guests included Eliza Doolittle, Julia Bradbury and John Caird – all of whom attended to show their support for the plight of girls around the world.

We were delighted to celebrate Fat Buddha Yoga’s third birthday with a sky high pop-up yoga class for both occupiers of the Leadenhall Building and Fat Buddha’s loyal yogis. Attendees released the stresses of the day and got in touch with their inner zen with FBY founder, Nike yoga trainer (and DJ) Jessica Skye.

The launch of Destiny the Taken King. The latest instalment of the popular franchise was unveiled against a backdrop of jaw-dropping views of the capital. Specially invited guests travelled up in Europe’s fastest lifts to the contemporary space, where the consoles, bar and DJ were waiting.

Ted Baker presented its SS16 fashion collection, with a star-studded show here. Landing Forty Two was transformed with Spring/Summer theming, including a catwalk lined with imported palm trees, complete with bright butterflies amongst the leaves.

Delta Airlines celebrated the launch of its daily nonstop service from London Heathrow to Salt Lake City here in May. Over 200 VIP guests, including press, travel bookers and key corporate contacts were invited to experience the services available on board Delta’s business class cabin – Delta One - such as wine tasting and live cooking demonstrations from Gate Gourmet preparing the dishes and ice cream sundaes that passengers can enjoy on board, served by glamorous flight attendants flown in from the U.S.

Landing Forty Two became the highest cinema in the world, for an exclusive screening of Spectre. We invited 100 guests to the event, including representatives from Story events, Crazy Cow, Hire Space, Eventspiration, London & Partners, Rapier Group, Melon, Jack Morton and The Concerto Group, amongst others.
